Collaborating Societies

Societies working in collaboration with EFNS are:

European organisations dedicated to:

  • European subgroups of clinical neurology
  • Associated specialities, European patient associations and health care professionals related to clinical neurology

EFNS wants to promote better co-operation and co-ordination at a European as well as international level in areas of common interest and thus ensure a stronger and  more positive influence on the national health authorities as well as within the health and research related bodies of the European Commission and European Parliament

Scientific Societies working in collaboration with EFNS:
  • receive the European Journal of Neurology after payment of subscription fee
  • receive the EFNS Newsletter and any other important information that the EFNS or collaborating organisations consider relevant
  • receive help from the EFNS to disseminate information in countries where the organisation does not yet have contacts
  • be invited to ask for advice, help or opinion from the scientist panels and standing Committees of the EFNS
Non-scientific Societies working in partnership with EFNS will:
  • receive access to the on-line version of the European Journal of Neurology
  • receive the EFNS Newsletter and any other important information
  • receive help from the EFNS to disseminate information in countries where the collaborating organisation does not yet have contacts
  • be invited to ask for advice, help or opinion from the scientist panels and standing Committees of the EFNS
In turn, we expect all societies working in collaboration with EFNS to:

  • mail relevant information to the EFNS Liaison Committee and Head Office
  • consider possibilities for co-operation and joint activities with EFNS in order to better support basic and clinical research in Europe
  • promote EFNS and its activities at their meetings and congresses
  • to pay the fee of one individual member
