Comment: Our department is and emergency one being a part of a larger universitary emrgency medical unit of a total of 1000 beds. In the 70 beds neurological department, we receive and average of 12 acute stroke patients daily but there are also patients hostpitalised having diverse neurological pathologies. Our department is one of 5 neurological clinics in Romania that are treating through immunomodulating therapy patients with multiple sclerosis and our main fields of interest are: cerebrovascular pathology, demyelinating diseases. We have a well equipped (CT, MRI) radiology department and our clinic has its own paraclinical equipment handled by our well trained colleagues (Echo-Doppler, EEG, ENG, EMG, EP).
