Liaison Committee

The EFNS Liaison Committee assists the Management Committee in liaising with other professional and lay organisations as well as with its relation to the European Union and other European institutions. The latter is handled via the EFNS' membership at the European Brain Council (EBC)

The Liaison Committee advises the Management Committee about the communication strategy of the EFNS.

The organisations that the EFNS wishes to liaise with can be found under Partners and Collaborators.

This list will be updated on a regular basis.

Some of these relations can be better handled by other committees of the EFNS. If important negotiations are ongoing, these other committees will have a representation of the Liaison Committee or vice versa.

The relation to:

When relations to a subspecialty organisation are developing towards a formal agreement with EFNS aabout shared congreses, then both the Scientific Committeee, the Congress Programme Committee and the Liaison Committee should have a representative in the negotiating group led by the EFNS President.

Communication strategy:

The Liaison Committee assists the Management Committee in developing, monitoring and adjusting the communication strategy for the EFNS. This communication strategy, which will be reviewed in regular intervals, wil reflect the vision and missions of the EFNS and the policy of the EFNS at the European level, and must be endorsed by the Management Committee.

The communication strategy will serve as a general guide for the Management Committee's priorities and administration work plans in communication matters. The policy recommendations should reflect a long-term strategy of which details and administration will be handled by the EFNS Head Office.

The profile of the EFNS to the scientific and political world will be developed and should be a living document that can be updated, adapted and modified at any given moment.
