Neuropathies

The aims of the EFNS Scientist Panel on Peripheral Neuropathies are :

  • To prepare proposals for and organise Main Topic sessions, for Teaching Courses, and for Focussed Workshopsfor the annual EFNS congresses
  • To establish Task Forces for the development and revision of Guidelines
  • To help coordinate clinical research to improve diagnosis, management, and treatment of peripheral neuropathies

A Joint Task Force of the EFNS and Peripheral Nerve Society (PNS) is currently revising Guidelines on management of chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy, paraproteinemic demyelinating neuropathies, and multifocal motor neuropathy, which have been first published a few years ago. These Guidelines will be published in the 2nd edition of the European Handbook of Neurological Management.
